Sunday, October 21, Soaring Eagle Park

Fall has certainly set in, but the cool weather and showers didn't stop 47 runners from coming out to run on top of the carpet of leaves and sticks left by Thursday's windstorm. The mud and tree litter made for slower conditions than we saw in June, but Liz Wilson still powered through the 10-mile course at the front of the field in 1:18:09, just short of Erika Daligcon's 1:16:44 record from June.

Thanks to the excellent volunteers that made this run happen: Aaron, Cliff, Jim, David, Murray, Peteris, Roger and Kimberly. Thanks also to Seattle Running Company for their continued support. SRC provided the socks, shirts and bottles that some runners won by random drawing. The next run will be Saturday, November 10, at Des Moines Creek Park in SeaTac.
